Very Light
Scratches
For very light scratches that are not very obvious, use a spray
of furniture polish, such as Pledge. Apply the polish to a soft cloth, then
rub on the blocks. You may want to use instead,

For more noticeable scratches, use a standard acrylic polish, such as
Novus Plastic Polish #2. Follow the directions provided with the polish

Heavy
Scratches
Removing heavy scratches requires an abrasive compound. Use a
standard automotive buffing compound or
Novus Plastic Polish #3. For
best results, rub back and forth along the length of the scratch. Follow up
with an automotive paste wax or

Extremely
Heavy Scratches or Gouges
Use a 600 grit wet 'n' dry sandpaper to level the scratch. For
optimal results, keep the paper wet. If the gouge is extreme, you may want
to start with a heavier grit sandpaper and follow-up with the 600 grit.
Follow the sanding with an application of rubbing compound or
Novus Plastic Polish #3. Next,
rub the area with an automotive paint polish or
Novus Plastic Polish #2.
Finally, finish the area with either a furniture polish or
Novus Plastic Polish#1. |
